Tokyo Basscity: Drum & Bass Mixed by Tacoyakimix is now officially released!
This mix represents my first step into sharing the soundscape of urban Japan through high-energy Drum & Bass. Inspired by the neon lights, fast-moving trains, and endless rhythm of Tokyo nights, I wanted to capture that atmosphere in one continuous set.
You can now enjoy it on YouTube, Mixcloud, and very soon across platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. This mix is part of the playlist project 【Essentials】Tokyo Basscity: Drum & Bass, where I will continue to collect and deliver essential tracks that showcase the best of the genre.
This set runs over 43 minutes and was carefully crafted to bring both energy and atmosphere. The BPM stays steady, designed for DJs and listeners who want an uninterrupted flow. Starting with percussive-driven beats, it gradually builds into powerful drops and smooth breakdowns, reflecting the pulse of Tokyo’s nightlife.
For Drum & Bass fans, you’ll notice influences from artists like Sub Focus, Dimension, and Pendulum, combined with my own touch of city pop-inspired effects. The result is both modern and nostalgic, blending UK D&B roots with Japanese urban vibes.
This release also marks the beginning of my journey as Tacoyakimix under BAL Records, where I aim to create more mixes, tracks, and collaborations in the near future.

このミックスは、エネルギッシュなドラムンベースを通じて「都市・東京のサウンドスケープ」を表現した最初の作品です。ネオンの光、走り抜ける電車、途切れることのない東京の夜のリズムを、一つのセットに閉じ込めました。
現在 YouTube、Mixcloud で公開中、さらに今後 Spotify や Apple Music など各配信サービスにも展開予定です。この作品はプレイリスト企画 【Essentials】Tokyo Basscity: Drum & Bass の一環でもあり、今後もジャンルの魅力を詰め込んだトラックを届けていきます。

収録時間は43分ほどで、エネルギーと雰囲気を両立させるよう丁寧に構成しました。BPMを安定させ、DJやリスナーが途切れることなく楽しめるよう設計しています。パーカッシブなビートから始まり、力強いドロップや滑らかなブレイクダウンへと展開し、まるで東京のナイトライフの鼓動を反映しているようです。
ドラムンベースファンの方には、Sub Focus、Dimension、Pendulum といったアーティストの影響を感じていただけるはずです。そこに シティポップ的なエフェクト を融合させ、UK D&Bのルーツと日本的なアーバン感覚を同居させたサウンドになっています。
このリリースは、私 Tacoyakimix が BAL Records 名義で活動を本格化させる第一歩でもあります。これから、より多くのミックス、オリジナルトラック、そしてコラボレーションを発表していきます。
